You can't call together old testament words for your hatred of gays, then when you are held to old testament standards say that Jesus changed all that. Joshua DuBois, director of religious affairs for Obama’s campaign, said in a statement that a full reading of Obama’s speech shows he is committed to reaching out to people of faith and standing up for families. “Obama is proud to have the support of millions of Americans of faith and looks forward to working across religious lines to bring our country together,” DuBois said.
Dobson reserved some of his harshest criticism for Obama’s argument that the religiously motivated must frame debates over issues like abortion not just in their own religion’s terms but in arguments accessible to all people.
“What the senator is saying is that I can’t seek to pass legislation that bans partial birth abortion because there are people who don’t see that as a moral issue,” Dobson said. “Now that is a fruitcake interpretation of the Constitution. … We don’t have to go to the lowest common denominator of morality which is what he is suggesting. Am I required in a democracy to conform my efforts in the political arena to his bloody notion of what is right with regard to the lives of tiny babies?”
I don't know. Maybe Dobson should read what Jesus instructed christians to do when he left. Give to Ceasar what is Ceasars. Preach the good news. Help the hungry, the orphans, the widows, the homeless, the naked. I don't see ANY presidence for an all out war on what you percieve as immorality.
